This website is committed to protecting your personal data in accordance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

1. Who we are


This project is based in Berlin, Germany, and operated by Sonntag GbR.


2. What data we collect


We only collect the data you provide when you submit a project to the photography grant. This may include:

  • Your name and contact details (e.g. email address)
  • Project description and artist statement
  • Images, links, or media you upload or share
  • Other personal information such as your location or nationality

We do not use cookies, analytics tools, or tracking scripts.


3. Why we collect your data


We collect this information solely to:
  • Process and review your grant submission
  • Contact you with questions or results
  • Ensure fair jury review and selection
  • Archive applications for transparency and record-keeping

We will never sell or share your data with third parties.



4. How your data is stored


Your submission data is stored securely on servers provided by our form host (Google Forms) or email service Gmail. Access is limited to people involved in the selection process. Jury members outside of the Sonntag GbR will only be able to access previous work and the submitted project description, not personal data like contact data or nationality.

We store submissions for a maximum of 12 months after the selection process ends, unless you are awarded the grant or give us permission to retain your work for archival purposes or public communication.

In accordance with German tax law (§ 147 AO), we are required to retain payment and order data for 10 years, which will be stored on servers provided by our website builder Cargo and paymant providers PayPal and Stripe.



5. Your rights


Under GDPR, you have the right to:
  • Request access to the personal data we hold about you
  • Request correction or deletion of your data
  • Withdraw your submission at any time
  • File a complaint with a supervisory authority if needed
